Cherry Hill Township just opened a new wellness center, following the global trend of consumers turning toward self-improvement and healthier living.
Ethos Aesthetics + Wellness opened its first outpost in South Jersey on Nov. 25 at Towne Place at Garden State Park on 921 Haddonfield Road.
And the grand opening is set for Jan. 16 at the location.
The Cherry Hill center is the company’s sixth store, following its fifth location last fall in Morristown, North Jersey.
Billing itself as “New Jersey’s leading provider of sophisticated, cutting-edge aesthetic treatments and comprehensive wellness programs,” Ethos’ Cherry Hill debut is part of the brand’s strategic expansion throughout New Jersey, according to President Roshan Shah.
“Things have turned out better than expected,” Shah said of the Cherry Hill location in a phone interview this week. “We’ve been very pleased with the turnout so far.”
Shah said Ethos’ mission is to provide the highest quality individualized wellness care to help patients look and feel their best.
To achieve that, Shah said all Ethos locations are owned and operated by the same management team, and all providers are trained in-house by the brand’s team of experienced and highly educated experts.
The company was co-founded by Dr. Hardik Soni and Dr. Monika Soni and has expanded rapidly since its first location opened in Summit, New Jersey, in 2008.
Over the next decade and a half, new centers followed in Sparta, Somerville, Holmdel, Morristown, and now Cherry Hill.
“It’s just so happens we were all born and raised in New Jersey. It’s a market we know very well,” said Shah. “We’re not stopping at six, and we think there’s room to really expand and create regional dominance across the state of New Jersey.”
Shah said the company is currently eyeing new locations in Bergen County, Hudson County in North Jersey, and the Jersey Shore in places like Manasquan and Monmouth County to establish a presence.
“But the brand isn’t limiting itself to the Garden State,” said Shah. “It has started scouting locations in Doylestown and Newtown in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and Westchester County in New York.”
The Ethos Cherry Hill center follows a worldwide trend. A report released last month by the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) identified the self-care market as growing in every region of the globe.
The Nov. 5 report, Global Wellness Economy Monitor 2024, found that it grew from $4.6 trillion in 2020 to $5.8 trillion in 2022 and reached a record $6.3 trillion by the end of last year.
Wellness now represents over 6% of global Gross Domestic Product, up from 5.75% in 2019, according to the GWI report.
The top three sectors within the industry with the highest annual growth rates from 2019 to 2023 were wellness real estate, public health, prevention, personalized medicine, and mental wellness.
The wellness industry is projected to reach nearly $6.8 trillion by the end of 2024 and nearly $9 trillion in 2028 as populations deal with aging, chronic disease, and mental health issues, according to the GWI report.
Ethos Aesthetics + Wellness wants to be at the vanguard of this movement, said co-founder Dr. Hardik Soni.
“Our expansion is not just about increasing our footprint; it’s about reinforcing our commitment to staying at the forefront of the wellness and aesthetics industry,” Soni said in a statement on last month’s soft opening in Cherry Hill.
“We’re excited to establish our presence in Southern New Jersey, develop meaningful relationships with the Cherry Hill community, and become trusted partners in their journey to better overall health.”
The Cherry Hill location offers services ranging from medical-grade skincare to innovative, personalized wellness programs.
These include aesthetic treatments such as fillers and lasers, alongside skin rejuvenation treatments like microneedling, chemical peels, and facial resurfacing.
Shah said the treatments are tailored to each patient’s unique biology, considering the person’s metabolism, weight, hormone regulation, and diet.
He said it’s not just the ladies who want to look and feel their best. He’s seeing more men arrive at the centers, from their early to mid-20s all the way into their upper 70s and 80s.
“A massive growth is the wellness side for men,” Shah said. “We’re seeing corporate executives, athletes, and regular guys who just want to feel more energetic. That’s where we’re getting a lot of patients.”
