Burlington County announces scheduled start of repaving projects

Work is scheduled to start next week on repaving projects on two Burlington County highways crossing through Westampton, Eastampton, Chesterfield and North Hanover.

Pavement milling and overlay work will begin Monday, July 8, on a 1.5-mile section of Mount Holly-Jacksonville Road, also known as County Route 628. The work will take place between Route 630 in Westampton and Route 639 in Eastampton. It is expected to take about a week to complete.

Work will begin Wednesday, July 10, on resurfacing a 2.9-mile section of Chesterfield-Arneytown Road, also known as County Route 664. The work area will stretch between Route 528 in Chesterfield to the county border with Ocean County in North Hanover. It is expected to take about two weeks to complete.

Traffic will be maintained through both work areas, but motorists using the road will likely experience delays and are advised to seek an alternative route.
