A 42-year-old Haddon Township man has been charged with arson for allegedly setting fire to a vehicle at a Haddonfield residence last October and other instances of criminal mischief, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
Haddonfield police responded to the call for a vehicle fire on the 1000 block of Concord Circle at about 1:15 a.m. on Oct. 21, according to a press release. Surveillance video at that address showed a suspect later identified as Michael McNeely pouring gasoline onto the vehicle and setting it on fire. He was arrested in Haddonfield on May 17 and remains at the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a court date.
Officers previously responded to two vehicle fires at the same residence in October of 2017 and June of 2021. They remain under investigation. Police were also called to the residence in June of 2019 when it was reported that someone had thrown a concrete block through a window. McNeely has been charged with criminal mischief in that case.
McNeely is also a suspect in instances of stalking that took place from 2019 to 2023 in Haddonfield and Medford, according to the prosecutor. And he was charged with criminal mischief and harassment after a bench was vandalized with spray paint in the unit block of High Point Drive.
