Those who are struggling with substance abuse and have been thinking about seeking help can do so at the Delran Township Police Department on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Fight against hunger and homelessness
Join us and The Beloved of NJ in the fight against Hunger and Homelessness.
Delran Police is asking for the help of the community to assist them in gathering essential items such as deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, wipes, and socks to help those on hard times.
They will be collecting these items for those less fortunate at the Delran Police Department. A collection box is currently located in the lobby, 900 S. Chester Ave.

Special Township Meeting Riverside Park Flooding at 7 p.m., 900 S. Chester Ave.
The Township Council and mayor will hold a special meeting regarding the flooding at Riverside Park. This town hall-style meeting will include a discussion of the history, outline steps taken to date, detail the future plans with the Army Corps, and openly discuss the issues with impacted residents.

Through Feb. 3
The Delran Board of Education has initiated a search to hire its next superintendent of schools. Part of the process includes a superintendent search survey will be available on the district’s website through Feb. 3 at delranschools.org.

Coin and Collectibles Show
South Jersey Coin and Collectibles Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Feb. 4 at the Lindenwold Moose Lodge, 2425 White Horse Pike (Rt. 30) Lindenwold. The show will include 32 plus tables, friendly dealers, easy parking, security, food and refreshments. Free Koins for Kids. Tuesday, Feb. 6
Since announcing an emergency blood shortage earlier this month, the American Red Cross blood supply remains at critically low levels. Despite generous donors signing up to give, recent dangerous winter weather across the U.S. led to nearly 15,000 blood and platelet donations going uncollected in January. A blood drive is scheduled for Feb. 6 from 1:30-6:30 p.m. at the Delran township Building, 900 Chester Ave.
Delran Green Team
Delran Green Team meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 in the Delran Municipal Building, 900 S. Chester Ave.
Delran Seniors Club
The Delran Seniors Club is a social club open to anyone 55+ from Delran and neighboring towns. Membership is $10 annually, with monthly meetings at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Bridgeboro Road in Delran. The next meeting will be Feb. 13.
The meetings begin at 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month except for December. The club attempts to have speakers at each meeting to bring information relevant to “our lives and needs.” A complete lunch is available for $7 at sign in.
Members enjoy two day trips a year, a fall trip and spring trip. The spring trip will be to the Shore Club on March 21 for St. Joseph’s Festival.

Delran Historical Society
The Delran Historical Society meets on the third Tuesday of the month in these five months, January, March, May, September and November at the Delran Township Municipal Building located at 900 Chester Ave. The meetings are held in Community Room 3 and start at 7 p.m. We frequently invite speakers to address the membership.
