The Cherry Hill board of education swore in Miriam Stern, Kimberly Gallagher and Renee Cherfane as new members at its reorganization meeting on Jan. 2.
The board then reelected Stern as its president in a 6-2 vote – with Cherfane and Gallagher voting no – and reelected Joel Mayer vice president in a 7-1 vote, with Cherfane voting no. It also approved member Sally Tong as district representative to both the Camden County School Board Association’s executive committee and the New Jersey School Boards Association. Gallagher was named district representative for the Camden County Educational Services Commission.
The board also approved its regular Tuesday public meetings on the following dates at 6:30 p.m. in the Lewis Administration Building:

During public comments at the reorganization session, residents addressed the important role of board members in advocating communit values.
