Thursday and Friday, Jan. 4-5

Washington Township High School Senior Directed Cabaret is back with performances on, Jan. 4th and 5th from 7-10 p.m. in the 11-12 playhouse. Students of all grade levels have worked to perfect their “Saturday Night Live” style skits and dance numbers to perform in front of a live audience. Tickets cost $5 and both shows begin at 7 p.m. Members of Project Graduation will be there selling concessions – cash only. All proceeds from tickets sales and concessions will benefit Project Graduation.

Sunday, Jan. 7

South Jersey Coin and Collectibles Show at the Lindenwold Moose Lodge, 2425 White Horse Pike (Route 30) Lindenwold meets every first Sunday of the month starting Jan. 7th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be 35 plus dealer tables, free admission, free parking, security, food and refreshments. Bring your old coins, paper money and jewelry for free appraisal. Door prizes, free koins for kids. For more info call Tom Gullone at (609) 742-2279.

Third Wednesday

The Washington Township Public Schools will continue its partnership with the Food Bank of South Jersey to stage a mobile food pantry behind the 9/10 wing of Washington Township High School off the Ganttown Road entrance from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on the third Wednesday of every month. Next distribution date is Jan. 18.

Ongoing:

The Washington Saves Lives Program is available for residents to use seven days a week between the hours 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. for a free ride from any bar or restaurant located within the township to their home. If you or if you know someone that may benefit from this program, please download the Uber application and use it during the designated hours.

The Washington Township Fire Department is accepting applications for volunteer firefighter. Become part of a progressive organization with the most up-to-date firefighting and rescue technology in the area. Whether you are responding to the Firehouse from home or staffing a station with fellow Firefighters, your help is needed.

The Washington Township Ambulance and Rescue Association is currently seeking applicants for the position of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Full and Part-Time positions available. The Washington Township Police Department is participating in the Special Needs Registry and Blue Envelope Program sponsored by the Gloucester County Police Chief’s Association and the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. The Washington Township Historical Preservation Commission is looking for volunteers and commissioner positions. The volunteer must be interested in history and participate in the yearly events. HPC meets on the third Thursday of each month at the municipal building at 7 p.m. The HPC has seven to eight fundraising events to help with the upkeep and maintenance of the Olde Stone House Village. The Washington Township School District is hiring. Positions available include:

  • High School Technology Education and Science Teachers.
  • Assistants.

AARP Tax Aide volunteers needed for the next tax season. The service provided is offered free of charge all over the United States by the AARP Foundation. If focuses on taxpayers 50 and older and those of low to moderate income. Volunteers are needed in Deptford, Glassboro, Mullica Hill, Washington Township, West Deptford and Williamstown.
