Church holiday bazaar returns for 2023

The Church of the Incarnation will again host its holiday bazaar on Saturday at the church’s Kernan Center, behind the main building, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is expected to feature more than 50 vendors, including crafters.

“It’s a Christmas bazaar where people sell crafts they make to offer to people,” said Secretary of Attendance Alicia Melson.

“Some of the vendors are parishioners and our crochet club will knit blankets and chemo caps for those in need,” said church Business Manager Patti Houwen.

Other items at the bazaar will include homemade holiday wreaths, porcelain products and ornaments, homemade honey, tea, tumblers and woodworking crafts. There will also be a basket raffle. Proceeds benefit the church’s charities.

“Featured items include needlework, one-of-a-kind handcrafted items, collectibles, jewelry, loose beads – including vintage and collectible – a special Christmas boutique, baked goods, a silent auction and raffles.,” reads the bazaar description on Eventbrite.

According to the church’s event coordinator, Peggy Wilson, this year’s bazaar is the second hosted by the church since COVID.

“In the past, we’ve had a couple hundred people show up,” she said. “It’s a family event, and a lot of the vendors from prior events are returning.”

Sellers will include Pinspiration from East Greenwich – which will let people create their own art pieces through its splatter room – Design Duo and Tastefully Simple.

The Church of the Incarnation’s priests, deacons and other staff are also expected to attend the event, as are members of the church’s Incarnation Angels, who are also sponsors.

Interested vendors can contact Wilson at [email protected] or by calling (856) 404-0076.
