April 22 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Meet the Author Book Festival in the library’s back parking lot. The event is expected to feature 50 authors as well as some food trucks and craft vendors. Some of the authors will be giving brief half hour presentations in the library’s meeting rooms. College-bound students can explore 100 plus programs of study offered at Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) during Open House events from 6-8 p.m. March 23 at the Gloucester campus and March 29 at the Cumberland campus.

The Gloucester campus Open House will be held in the Physical Education Center gymnasium. The Cumberland campus Open House will be held in the Student Services Center gymnasium. For directions and to RSVP, visit RCSJ.edu/OpenHouse.

Stop by the Gloucester County Animal Shelter and adopt a black and white tuxedo cat from noon to 2 p.m. And meet the shelter’s other furry friends. Contact the shelter for more information at (856) 881-2828 ext. 1 for adoptions.

The county shelter is located at 1200 N. Delsea Drive, Clayton.

The county is holding a Rabies Clinic at the Clayton Public Works from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., March 25 at 875 W. Washington Ave., Clayton.

March is Tire Amnesty Month. Participate in Gloucester County Tire Amnesty’s program with tire drop offs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Gloucester County Solid Waste Complex, 493 Monroeville Road (Route 694), South Harrison Township.

Participation is limited to Gloucester County residents only. Limit 10 per residence. For more information call the GCIA/Office of Recycling at 856-478-6045.

Monroe Township Community Affairs presents 2023 Spring Arts and Crafts Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 25 at the Pfeiffer Community Center, 301 Blue Bell Road, Williamstown.

Monroe Township Council meeting at 7 p.m., 125 Virginia Ave., Williamstown.

Thursday, March 30

Dine to donate from 6-9 p.m. at Applebee’s Grill and Bar, 1830 S. Black Horse Pike, Williamstown. Percentage of proceeds will go towards Williamstown High School Project Graduation.

Saturday, April 1

Monroe Township’s Parks and Recreation Commission and Community Affairs will hold its annual East Egg Hunt April 1 at the Owens Park, 690 N. Tuckahoe Road. Enjoy pics with the Easter Bunny, special prizes and face painting.

Egg hunt for children with special needs will start at 11 a.m. on the softball field. The egg hunt for children 12 and under will begin at noon on the football and baseball fields.

Rain date is April 2.

Monroe Township will hold a Shred Day Event from 9 a.m. to noon April 1 at the municipal building, 125 Virginia Ave., Williamstown.

April 3 to May 1

Monroe Township Public Schools’ Preschool Lottery opens from April 3 to May 1 for children turning three or four before Oct. 1. Appy at www.monroetwp.k12.nj.us.

Saturday, April 22

Monroe Township will hold its second annual Autism Awareness event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pfeiffer Community Center, 301 Bluebell Road, Williamstown. The event will feature music and games, bounce houses, face painting, a lot of balloons, a photo center, sensory tables, snacks and informational tables.

Monroe Township is holding a shred event from 9 am. to noon or until the truck is full at the Monroe Township Public Works, 1040 Glassboro Road, Williamstown.
