East Gate Square and A Dash of Magic Events to host Sensory Friendly Santa for families

Families will be able to visit with Santa and utilize their own phones, tablets and cameras to capture photos

A long-held holiday tradition for many children is meeting Santa and sharing their wish list. However, for children with sensory processing disorders or children on the autism spectrum, the crowds, bright lights and loud noises can turn an otherwise memorable event into one that is not enjoyable or even possible.

East Gate Square with A Dash of Magic Events will be hosting a noise-reduced visit with a Sensory-Friendly Santa on Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. to allow children and their families to experience the joy of the holiday season.

“We are thrilled to host this inclusive event for the South Jersey autism community,” said Laura Martin, general manager at East Gate Square. “Sensory Friendly Santa allows all children to experience the magic of the holiday season.”

Families will be able to visit with Santa and utilize their own phones, tablets and cameras to capture a photo with Santa.
