To help fund both its own projects and charities, the Church of the Incarnation will host a free holiday bazaar on Nov. 19.

“It’s a Christmas bazaar where people sell crafts they make to offer to people,” said church member Alicia Melson.

“There’s about 35 to 40 vendors coming to the event,” said PattyHowen , another church member. “Some of the vendors are parishioners and our crotchet club will knit blankets and chemo caps for those in need.”

“This is the first one we’re having since the pandemic and in the past, we’ve had a couple hundred people show up,” said event coordinator Peggy Wilson. “It’s a family event and a lot of the vendors from prior events are returning.”

A major vendor for the event is East Greenwich’s Pinspiration, which will offer its signature splatter room, where participants of all ages can fling paint on a canvas and keep the resulting artwork. Protective gear will be provided.

Other vendors expected include Tastefully Simple and Design Duo/ Visitors will find handcrafted holiday wreaths, porcelain ornaments, woodworking, tumblers, honey and tea.

A local author, Kimberly Kleczka, will be making an appearance to sign some of the children’s books she has written.

The Church of the Incarnation’s priests and Incarnation Angels will also make an appearance at the event and visit vendors.

“The organization that runs it is trying to raise funds for a digital sign so it can be seen on Main Street,” Howen explained. “It will be used to announce both church events and community events, like the blood drive and voting, if we have them.”

Some proceeds from the bazaar will also go towards the charity event at the church and funds from a basket auction will also go towards the church’s food pantry.

Holiday bazaar hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the church’s Kerann Center and outside in its new pavilion and outdoor space. There is no registration required. Parking will be available across the street.
