Summer Youth Employment Program launches next month

Applications are due May 13 and can be downloaded at www.ccwib.com

The Camden County Workforce Development Board will hold an eight-week summer youth employment program that will begin on June 27 and run through Aug. 19. Youth, ages 16 through 24, will gain hands on work experience with employers in the science, technology, engineering and math fields.

“The summer youth employment program offers a unique and worthwhile experience for young people in Camden County,” said Commissioner Jon Young. “Not only are participants paid a $15 an hour stipend, but they are placed with top notch employers who will help them develop their workforce skills and prepare them for the working world.”

To be eligible for the program, you must be a Camden County resident; willing to participate in a structured professional environment; be available for the eight consecutive weeks from June to August; and attend a virtual interview and complete training.

Applications are due May 13 and can be downloaded at www.ccwib.com
