Rapid covid testing available at Burlington County sites

Locations include Rowan College at Burlington County, the Willingboro Town Center and the Blue Barn Recreation Center.

The Burlington County Health Department is reminding residents that covid testing is still available and important.

There are three county-supported covid testing sites operating in Burlington County, including one location at the Blue Barn Recreation Center in Evesham that is open on Sunday and administering both PCR saliva tests and rapid antigen tests.

The other testing site locations are at Rowan College at Burlington County and the Willingboro Town Center.

“We’re all encouraged by the recent drop in new COVID-19 cases, but the virus is still present and it still poses a danger to vulnerable populations. We’re asking everyone to remain vigilant and continue to follow the precautions that have worked before,” said Dr. Herb Conaway, director of the Burlington County Health Department. “For those looking to enjoy Super Bowl parties and other social gatherings, testing is a simple action you can take to stay safe and protect the people around you. We don’t want to see another surge in cases.”

Testing at the Blue Barn Recreation Center, 1004 Tuckerton Road, in Evesham is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.

Rapid antigen testing is available for adults and children two and older at the site with results returned within 20 minutes. PCR saliva tests are also administered there. Results are typically returned within 24 to 48 hours.

The Blue Barn site is for walk-ups only, but for the sake of efficiency people can pre-register online at SWAB.VLT.CO for the rapid test and at COVID.VLT.CO for the PCR tests.

If pre-registering, click STOP when the website asks for a barcode.

The Willingboro Town Center and Rowan College at Burlington County testing sites administer PCR nasal swab tests only.

The Willingboro Town Center site is located at 4390 Route 130 and is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Walk-ups are welcome, but appointments should be made at www.burlingtoncountytesting.org .

The Rowan College at Burlington County site is located in Evans Hall, 100 Technology Way in Mount Laurel and is open by appointment only on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

To make an appointment, go to www.burlingtoncountytesting.org.

Insurance information will be collected at all three Burlington County testing sites, but no one will face out-of-pocket expenses or be turned away if uninsured.

“Since the start of COVID, our Board has made providing residents with resources to protect them and their families our top priority and testing has been a huge part of that response,” said Burlington County Commissioner Felicia Hopson, the Board’s liaison to the Health Department. “We were one of the first counties to begin offering testing and we’ve tripled our testing capacity to help meet our residents’ needs. These resources are here to protect our residents’ health and safety, so we’re encouraging everyone to take advantage of them.”
