CamCo announces 185 new COVID cases over the weekend

The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 185 new positive cases of COVID-19 which occurred between Saturday, November 6, and Monday, November 8, bringing the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 60,379 and 1,336 total fatalities.

Of the 185 new cases, 40 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 37 years old.

“The additional 185 cases reported over the weekend further proves the importance of getting every Camden County resident vaccinated against COVID-19,” said Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Please make an appointment at the Camden County Health Hub by visiting www.CamdenCountyVaccine.com.”

To date, 399,548 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 315,695 are fully vaccinated and 60,878 have received a third dose. More information regarding vaccination rates throughout the county and available on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard at covid19.nj.gov.

The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
