Gloucester County DREAM Park has services for you

Participants with a wide array of challenges and varying ages are taught basic horseback riding techniques

The Gloucester County DREAM Park is home to horse boarding, riding lessons, the Therapeutic Riding Program and top-rated horse shows.

“DREAM Park has become a major tourist destination and has brought in many programs, shows and opportunities for equestrian lovers and county residents,” Director Robert M. Damminger said. “Our state-of-the-art facilities attract premier equestrian sports interest as well as champion breed horses across the United States.”

DREAM Park events are posted on their website. You can also subscribe to the DREAM Park newsletter for a full list of events: https://dreamparknj.us18.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=625307a7627c9610ded7f4a80&id=46e06601aa

The DREAM Park also offers boarding facilities with state-of-the-art amenities for 42 permanent horses. These amenities include private turnouts with run in sheds, daily turn out (weather permitting), lighted main indoor arena (150 x 300), coverall indoor arena (144 x 120), multiple outdoor riding rings, jumper training ring and dressage ring.

Our Heated Main Boarding Barn has 12×12 matted stalls, large wash rack with hot and cold water. Gloucester County residents receive a 5% discount on boarding rates.

“Our DREAM Park is also home to a very popular therapeutic riding program for children and adults with a variety of special needs,” Director Damminger added. “We are always striving to accommodate any and all types of disabilities and we are committed to inclusivity.”

Lessons are designed to accommodate the physical, mental, and/or social needs of the rider. The physical act of riding improves balance, posture, trunk control, motor function, and coordination. Increased attention, communication skills, spatial awareness, and socialization are achieved through a series of planned exercises.

Participants with a wide array of challenges and varying ages are taught basic horseback riding techniques to control the horse’s movement, such as walking or stopping the horse.
