State offers gun buyback on Oct. 23 in Camden County

New Jersey residents can anonymously turn in firearms and get paid for up to $250 per weapon for up to 3 guns. No questions asked.

Across New Jersey, the State Department of Law and Public Safety is holding a Gun Buy Back day on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. New Jersey residents can anonymously turn in firearms and get paid for up to $250 per weapon for up to 3 guns. No questions asked.

Police officers will be stationed at each buyback location to collect and secure the guns. The gun buyback initiative is funded with forfeiture dollars obtained by the local police departments and County Prosecutors’ Offices, as well as forfeiture funds from the Division of Criminal Justice.

Camden County’s buyback location will be the Antioch Baptist Church, located at 690 Ferry Ave, Camden.

The six other locations that will be participating include:

  • St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in Bergen County
  • Alms Center in Cumberland County
  • The Friendship Baptist Church in Mercer County
  • The First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Middlesex/Somerset Counties
  • The Second Baptist Church of Asbury Park in Monmouth County
  • The Carneys Point Fire Department in Salem County.
