Letter to the Editor: Josephine Ladd

We now know so much more about Covid, its treatments and how to prevent the most serious complications in our most vulnerable community members.

To the Editor,
I absolutely loathe any form of hatred expressed publicly as described in your recent Mantua Sun Op-Ed piece on the subject of Covid mandates. I must also decry the lack of attention paid to local citizens who truly want to discuss the threatening political mandates which subjugate, divide, and are not currently backed up by authenticated scientific research.
We now know so much more about Covid, its treatments and how to prevent the most serious complications in our most vulnerable community members.
The article appears to describe school employees as the saviors of children, while their parents and grandparents are scolded to become more enlightened and do what they are told. Such rhetoric seems more in tune with certain political directives than anything based in common sense and medically therapeutic origin.
Surely as responsible individuals, we can come together and work with trusted family health care professionals, so each individual and their loved ones can be treated humanely, respectfully, and with compassion for all.
