The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 529 new positive cases of COVID-19 between Sept. 14 and Sept. 17, bringing the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 55,211 and 1,262 total fatalities.
Of Tuesday’s 109 new cases, 24 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected was 36 years old.
Of Wednesday’s 105 new cases, 29 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 34 years old.
Of Thursday’s 156 new cases, 34 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 37 years old.
Of today’s 159 new cases, 52 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 30 years old.
There are a total number 139 new cases among patients under 18 years old between Tuesday and Friday of this week.

“We continue to see case counts climb and the average age decrease when it comes to who is getting impacted by COVID. This is a constant reminder that the pandemic is not over, and we need to remain vigilant,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “This also continues to underscore the importance of utilizing the best tool we have to fight this virus- the vaccine. If you haven’t got it already, do it now.”
To date, 331,848 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 299,481 are fully vaccinated. More information regarding vaccination rates throughout the county and available on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard at covid19.nj.gov.
The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
