MIA returns with annual meeting

The Moorestown Improvement Association (MIA) will hold its annual meeting on Thursday evening, April 22, beginning at 7 p.m. The program will be held virtually on Zoom (due to the COVID pandemic). It is free and open to the public, regardless of whether or not those attending are current MIA members.

The featured speakers are Diane Baker-Hallowell and Bill Hallowell, owners of Majoda Stables, a horseback riding center in Moorestown. They will outline the benefits and opportunities of their Therapeutic Riding Program, available to all ages. Their stated mission is “to foster connection and well-being for people of all abilities through creative horsemanship in an environment of acceptance, love and trust.” Riding on horseback can offer many benefits and advantages for individuals with learning and communication differences, emotional and social growth issues, and/or physical differences.

Founded in 1904, the Moorestown Improvement Association is the town’s oldest civic organization, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the community. Recently MIA has been promoting the work of local non-profits like Majoda Stables, helping to ensure the town’s rich diversity.

To attend this MIA program, please register using this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_vOWNPoIiTKy5S4oa_jLeBg. Once registered, you will receive an email with the Zoom link and login information to join the meeting at 7 p.m. that evening.
