Tabernacle teachers will use grant for social emotional learning

The Tabernacle Education Foundation was awarded a $1000 grant from Investors Foundation

Tabernacle Elementary

The Education Foundation of Tabernacle Township has been awarded a grant from Investors Foundation in the amount of $1000. Funds will be used towards professional development for Social Emotional Learning.

Professional development will focus on building the confidence of teachers & support staff, in their ability to be flexible and readily adapt to changes in the learning environment; support of students in an environment of self-distancing and virtual learning; and incorporate social and emotional skill building into learning that allow students to process their emotions, connect, collaborate with peers and promote empathy.

The Education Foundation of Tabernacle Township (EFTT) is appreciative of the continued support provided by the Investors Foundation. The grant will help further the mission of EFTT to serve as a catalyst to support and enhance school improvement programs that heighten learning opportunities for our children by expanding current programs or creating programs that emphasize areas of academic and social emotional learning.
