“As we approach the one year anniversary of this pandemic, it is with great sadness that we announce 22 additional deaths caused by this disease in Camden County,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.

“Approximately 14 percent all Camden County residents have received at least one vaccine dose. We still have a long way to go, but every vaccination provided to our community adds additional protection and diminishes the ability of the virus to spread.”

Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,306 confirmed resident cases and 1,311 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 39,095 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 459 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as seven staff deaths, out of our 1,058 total fatalities countywide.
