Medford woman charged in capitol riots

Stephanie Hazelton, a prominent conservative activist, was arrested on charges related to the Jan. 6 riots.

A Medford woman was charged in relation to the capitol riots on Jan. 6.

Stephanie Hazelton, who also goes by the name Ayla Wolf, was arrested Friday and charged with violently entering capitol grounds, impeding an officer and knowingly entering a restricted building.

Hazelton posted a $100,000 bond and was released pending further hearings.

She was arrested after a video surfaced that seemed to show Hazelton directing a crowd pushing through police officers to enter the United States Capitol. She could be heard saying “we need more men” and “we gotta keep going.”

Hazelton is a conservative activist in the area who participated in “Reopen New Jersey” rallies at Atilis Gym in Bellmawr and organized a protest in Trenton, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. Hazelton’s LinkedIn says she is the founder of New Jersey for Medical Freedom, a group that organizes against mandated vaccinations.
