Palmyra Fire Department seeks donations for wreath-laying at veterans cemetery

Wreaths Across America event is Dec. 19

The Palmyra Fire Department, Palmyra Ladies Auxiliary and Palmyra CERT team up to lay wreaths at the local veterans cemetery during Wreaths Across America’s annual wreath-laying event. In order to continue this tradition, the groups are asking for donations from the community to help purchase this year’s wreaths.

Everyone who donates will be eligible for a drawing to win an iHome color-changing clock radio. The drawing will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1.

To donate, visit the GoFundMe campaign

Wreaths Across America’s mission to “remember, honor and teach” is supported by its National Wreaths Across America Day, this year on Dec. 19, to be observed at Arlington National Cemetery and more than 2,100 additional locations across the country and abroad.
