Gloucester County hosts annual job fair

On Thursday, Sept. 17 the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders will sponsor their annual Disability Employment Job Fair and Resource Event from 9 a.m. to noon at Rowan College of South Jersey 1400 Tanyard Rd., Sewell 08080.

All job seekers must register to attend by calling (856) 384-6963. Attendees should dress for success and bring copies of your resume. Please maintain social distancing and wear a mask while present at the fair.

Preceding the Employment Fair, free workshops have been recorded to assist with your job searching techniques. To view the videos, please visit www.gcwdb.org.

Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, “The goal of the Disability Job Fair is to open more doors to employment opportunities for job seekers with disabilities.”

Freeholder Heather Simmons, Liaison to Economic Development said, “We are committed to providing resources and opportunities to individuals with disabilities so they can meet employers with job openings and gain more insight on what type of employment opportunities are available to them.”

Freeholder Jim Jefferson, Liaison to the Department of Health and Human Services said, “We encourage all potential employers to embrace diversity as they seek to fill positions by considering the talents of all workers, including those with disabilities.”
