The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) announced a dramatic uptick ahead of the weekend, logging four new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 38 additional cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 9,711 in Camden County and 562 total fatalities.

“We are deeply saddened to learn that four additional members of the Camden County family have lost their lives to COVID-19,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“Even as our state continues to make progress towards recovery, we are keeping all victims and their families in our thoughts and prayers. Remember, we can prevent further unnecessary loss of life by wearing masks, social distancing, and working with Camden County contact tracers when they call.”
Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,369 confirmed resident cases and 553 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 9,711 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 314 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 562 total fatalities countywide.
