The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) reported Wednesday one new death caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 31 additional cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 9,488 in Camden County and 552 total fatalities.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of another death caused by COVID-19 in Camden County. As we mourn another member of our community, we are keeping their friends and family in our thoughts and prayers,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“As this pandemic stretches into yet another month, we want to remind our residents that no one is in this fight alone. If you are struggling to cope with this incredibly difficult period, please seek emotional support or a mental health professional for help. Even as we closely monitor the physical health of our friends, family, and loved ones, we have to remember to take care of our mental health as well.”
Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,342 confirmed resident cases and 533 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 9,488 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 314 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 552 total fatalities countywide.
