Slight increase in COVID-19 cases in Gloucester County for June 26

County officials reported 19 new cases on Friday after reporting 18 on Thursday.

Gloucester County has reported a slight increase in new COVID-19 cases for Friday, June 26. County health officials reported 19 new cases, up a tiny bit from Thursday’s 18 new cases.

In the last 24 hours, Gloucester County has received the results for 338 COVID-19 tests. There were 19 positive results and 319 negative for a positive rate of about 5.6 percent.

Here is a breakdown of today’s new COVID-19 cases by municipality:

  • Clayton – 1
  • Deptford – 5
  • Harrison Twp. – 1
  • Mantua – 2
  • Monroe Twp. – 2
  • Paulsboro – 1
  • Pitman – 1
  • Swedesboro – 1
  • Washington Twp. – 4
  • Woolwich – 1

Many of Friday’s new positive tests involved younger adults. Thirteen of the 19 cases were residents 50 years or younger.
