COVID-19 update: Gloucester County sees increase to 21 cases on June 10

Gloucester County's seven-day rolling average of COVID-19 cases remains at its lowest point since late March.

Gloucester County reported its most single-day cases in nearly two weeks on Wednesday, June 10, but the county’s rolling seven-day average number of cases has reached its lowest point since late March.

Gloucester County reported 21 new cases on June 10, the first time 20 or more cases have been reported in a single day in June. Here is a breakdown of the new cases on June 10 by municipality:

  • Clayton – 1
  • Deptford – 2
  • East Greenwich – 2
  • Franklin Twp. – 2
  • Glassboro – 2
  • Logan – 1
  • Monroe Twp. – 3
  • National Park – 1
  • Paulsboro – 1
  • Washington Twp. – 2
  • Wenonah – 1
  • Woolwich – 3

Additionally, Gloucester County reported its 155th COVID-19 death on Wednesday, a 57-year-old resident of Franklin Township.

Despite the case increase, the average daily number of new cases in Gloucester County is at its lowest point since late March. Here is a breakdown of the week-by-week average daily case numbers in Gloucester County:

  • March 26 to April 1 – 17.6 cases per day
  • April 2 to April 8 – 27.0
  • April 9 to April 15 – 35.3
  • April 16 to April 22 – 37.3
  • April 23 to April 29 – 51.1
  • April 30 to May 6 – 44.3
  • May 7 to May 13 – 30.7
  • May 14 to May 20 – 35.1
  • May 21 to May 27 – 27.0
  • May 28 to June 3 – 19.9
  • June 4 to June 10 – 12.4

The county’s seven-day average of COVID-19 deaths is averaging fewer than one COVID-19 death per day for the first time since mid-April. Here is a breakdown of Gloucester County’s rolling seven-day average number of COVID-19 deaths by week:

  • March 26 to April 1 – 0.3 per day
  • April 2 to April 8 – 0.4
  • April 9 to April 15 – 0.9
  • April 16 to April 22 – 2.7
  • April 23 to April 29 – 1.4
  • April 30 to May 6 – 3.6
  • May 7 to May 13 – 4.4
  • May 14 to May 20 – 4.6
  • May 21 to May 27 – 1.9
  • May 28 to June 3 – 1.0
  • June 4 to June 10 – 0.9
