Gloucester County reported its highest single-day COVID-19 death toll on Thursday, April 30, as seven more county residents have passed away due to the virus.
According to county officials, four of the seven residents who died were from Deptford. The other three residents were from National Park, Washington Township and Woodbury.
The county reported 30 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. It is the lowest single-day total in six days and the fourth straight day of declining case totals.
The 30 new cases are broken down as follows by municipality:
- Deptford – 5
- Franklin Township – 3
- Greenwich Township – 1
- Harrison Township – 1
- Logan – 1
- Monroe Township – 4
- Newfield – 1
- Paulsboro – 1
- Swedesboro – 1
- Washington Township – 4
- West Deptford – 2
- Woodbury – 5
- Woolwich – 1
The fourth Gloucester County COVID-19 testing date has been scheduled for Thursday, May 7. Residents 18 and older with symptoms of COVID-19 must call (856) 218-4142 to be pre-screened. Phone lines will be open Friday, May 1 at 8:30 a.m. Please have your insurance information available at this time. Once pre-screened, an appointment time will be scheduled.
