Gloucester County parks to re-open on Saturday

Parks will only be open for fishing and passive recreational activities.

Under Executive Order 133, Gloucester County parks will re-open beginning Saturday, May 2.

All Gloucester County parks will be open from sunrise to 8 p.m. daily.

Parking at parks will be limited to 50 percent capacity and controlled by the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office.

The following are specific rules for each park:

Greenwich Lake: Fishing and passive recreation are open. Pavilions, picnics and restrooms are closed.

James G. Atkinson Memorial Park: Fishing and passive recreation are open. Pavilions, picnics, playgrounds, sports fields, tennis and pickleball courts and restrooms are closed.

Redbank Battlefield: Passive recreation is open. Pavilions, picnics, playgrounds, restrooms and historical buildings are closed.

Scotland Run Park: Fishing and passive recreation are open. Pavilions, picnics, playgrounds, restrooms and the visitor’s center are closed.

All visitors must maintain social distancing measures while at the parks except with immediate family members, caretakers, household members or romantic partners. All employees and visitors are encouraged to wear a cloth face covering while in the parks.
