COVID-19 update: Gloucester County confirms two deaths, 79 new cases over the weekend

Gloucester County has now had 527 positive COVID-19 cases and nine deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

Gloucester County officials confirmed the deaths of two more residents due to COVID-19 over the weekend.

On Saturday, county officials said a 72-year-old woman and a 75-year-old woman died from COVID-19. There have been nine confirmed COVID-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

Additionally, county officials confirmed 79 new COVID-19 cases between Saturday and Sunday. The new cases are as follows by municipality:

  • Clayton – 4
  • Deptford – 6
  • East Greenwich Twp. – 3
  • Elk – 4
  • Franklin Twp. – 2
  • Glassboro – 2
  • Greenwich Twp. – 2
  • Harrison Twp. – 3
  • Logan – 2
  • Mantua – 5
  • Monroe Twp. – 6
  • National Park – 3
  • Paulsboro – 1
  • Pitman – 3
  • South Harrison Twp. – 2
  • Washington Twp. – 11
  • West Deptford – 9
  • Woodbury – 4
  • Woodbury Heights – 3
  • Woolwich – 4

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.
