All county parks in Gloucester County closed following new Executive Order

Gov. Phil Murphy ordered the closure of all state and county parks in New Jersey as of 8 p.m. on April 7.

The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, under an Executive Order from the State of New Jersey, have closed all county parks until further notice. The closed parks include:

  • Greenwich Lake Park in Greenwich Township
  • James G. Atkinson Memorial Park in Sewell
  • Redbank Battlefield in National Park
  • Scotland Run Park in Clayton

Under Executive Order No. 118, no access to parks will be permitted. Fishing at Scotland Run Park and Greenwich Lake Park is not permitted.

The Gloucester County Parks of Recreation is supplying lesson plans on the parks’ history and nature discoveries for families while they practice social distancing at home.
