The Center for People in Transition, located on Rowan College of South Jersey’s (RCSJ) Gloucester campus, hosts a number of empowerment, health, and financial workshops during the month of March. “Letting Go of Blame and Shame” — Blame and shame can have a cumulative effect, giving power to the negative voice inside your head and affecting your ability to lead a happy life. Join Sharon Roth-Lichtenfeld, certified personal life coach, to learn the skills and tools needed to let go of blame and shame, and become a happier person. This workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 11, from 7 – 9 p.m.
“Get the Job, Keep the Job” — Getting the job is an important first step, but knowing the keys to keep that job is essential to long-term success. Amy Charlesworth, career case manager at the Center for People in Transition, will help you create the perfect cover letter and resume while discussing thank you letter etiquette, interviewing tips, job search techniques, and appropriate workplace behavior. This workshop will be held on Thursday, March 12, from 6 – 8 p.m.
“Meditation” — Calm your body, settle your mind, and lift your spirits with a beautiful practice that has been around for thousands of years: meditation. Join Cheryl McBride, meditation and mindfulness instructor, to learn the benefits of meditation, discover how to build your own practice and participate in a guided meditation. This workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 24, from 6 – 8 p.m.
The Center for People in Transition has moved to RCSJ’s Workforce Development Center, at 1492 Tanyard Road in Sewell.
