The British are coming: Temple Beth gets rocking

Temple Beth Sholom Hazak and sisterhood welcome Paul Groom present “ROCK & ROLL: From the Blues to the British Invasion” on Sunday, January 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. at 1901 Kresson Road in Cherry Hill. 

Enjoy a multimedia presentation by music historian and native Liverpudlian Paul Groom as he covers the development of Rock and Roll from its roots through the British invasion. Some of the topics include: The influence of the blues on rock and roll, the effects of radio and television on rock music, the Golden Era of American rock (1955–1959) and The British Invasion of the early 1960s. 

Please RSVP by Jan. 3. Mail your check payable to TBS. Tickets are $5 in advance per person and $10 at the door. (Include your email and phone number with your reservation). Light refreshments will be served.
