Mantua crime log, Nov. 7 to 13

The following are on file at the Mantua Township Police Department.

Nov. 7

  • Units responded to a domestic dispute between a couple that had been drinking.
  • Patrol officers followed up with vehicle burglaries that occurred at Chestnut Branch Park.
  • Officers took a report for threats that were made to a business voice mail system.
  • Units responded to a minor crash in which a vehicle struck a deer on Breakneck Road.
  • Officers took a neighbor complaint in which one neighbor trimmed the bushes belonging to the caller.
  • Officers assisted a disabled vehicle that was stuck in the travel portion of the roadway by pushing it to a safe location until help could arrive.
  • Patrols responded to a domestic dispute over a stolen credit card but was later found in their wallet.
  • Units responded to a homeowner that caught a subject stealing a package that was just delivered in Wenonah, but the subject drove away prior to police arriving. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle.
  • Officers assisted a motorist that had locked his keys in their vehicle while parked at the wrestling building.

Nov. 8

  • Officers took a fraud complaint that occurred over the Internet.
  • Units responded to a minor crash in the parking lot by the Dollar General store.
  • Ptl. Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants. The subject was processed and released.
  • Ptl. Mroz and his K9 partner, Zuke, assisted Gibbstown Police Department.
  • Patrols responded to a resident that had an unknown female in her driveway throwing clothes at her vehicle.
  • Units took a report for a lost wallet.

Nov. 9

  • Units assisted a disabled vehicle on Glassboro Road that was stuck in traffic. Officers stood by until a tow truck could remove the vehicle.
  • Ptl. Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants. They were processed and released.
  • Officers took a report of a sexual assault that had occurred overnight and investigated the case through the day and arrested the accused who was lodged in the county jail.
  • Ptl. Wolfsgruber conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants. They were processed and released.
  • Units responded in Wenonah for a group of juveniles that had cursed and given the middle finger to the caller.
  • Patrols responded to a report of a crash where a vehicle struck a deer on Center Street.
  • Ptl. Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for an outstanding warrant. They were processed and released.

Nov. 10

  • Units responded to a motor vehicle crash in which it turned out that a woman was purposely crashing her vehicle into the other vehicle because she believed that woman was having an affair with her husband. The woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
  • Units responded to a 33-year-old woman that was in crisis and needed to be transported to the hospital.
  • Sgt. Herner conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested the driver for DUI and possession of drugs.
  • Units responded for a subject that was not welcome at a residence any longer. The caller was arrested for outstanding warrants.
  • Officers responded to a noise complaint at the White Oak Apartment’s Club House.

Nov. 11

  • Officers responded to a single vehicle crash on Center Street in which a vehicle struck a drone that was flying too close to the vehicles.
  • Officers participated in the annual Veteran’s Day ceremony at the municipal building.
  • Patrols investigated a loud noise that startled residents. It turned out to be a tree trimmer company that was doing work in the area.
  • Units assisted a motorist that had locked their keys in their vehicle while parked at their house.
  • Patrols also assisted another motorist that had locked their keys and their two-year-old child in the car.
  • Units responded to a crash on Glassboro Road in the area of the Wendy’s where one vehicle needed to be towed from the scene.
  • Patrols responded to a hit and run crash at the Kohls store in which a parked car was struck.
  • A resident in Wenonah found a bicycle by North Jefferson and West Maple and turned it over to officers.
  • Units responded to a crash on Glassboro Road in the area of the Heritage store.
  • Ptl. Bair conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for possession of drugs and related charges.
  • Units responded to a dispute at the Dollar General in which an angry customer through change at the store window from their vehicle as they were leaving.

Nov. 12

  • Officers responded to a single vehicle crash on Tylers Mill Road at Lambs Road in which a vehicle struck a stop sign and needed to be towed from the scene.
  • A resident found a wallet outside their townhome and turned it in to officers who were able to make contact with its owner.
  • Units took a report for fraud as someone attempted to open a Victoria’s Secret account in the victim’s name.
  • Patrols started to respond to a missing female in Wenonah that has dementia, however, she returned home prior to our arrival.
  • Units took a harassment complaint for a subject that was receiving threatening text messages from his girlfriend’s father.
  • Ptl. Sheilds conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested the driver for DUI for being under the influence of drugs and also in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nov. 13

  • Ptl. Donovan and his K9 partner, Boomer, responded to GCIT High School for a bomb threat that was received.
  • Officers responded to a hit and run crash that had occurred in the parking lot of Bright Beginnings preschool.
  • Units took a theft report for items that were stolen from a porch in Wenonah.
  • Officers took a fraud complaint where a caller pretending to be from Social Security Administration and told the victim to buy bank gift cards.
  • Units responded to a neighbor complaint where one neighbor is accused of making racial comments to another.
  • Patrols responded to a hit and run crash at the Rite Aid store on Route 45.
  • Officers took a report of harassment for the caller’s son that was receiving threatening text messages.
  • Units responded to a noise complaint for a dirt bike that was running in their driveway at 10 p.m.
