Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by Public Service Gas & Electric Company (PSE&G) that crews will be continuing a major utility pole replacement project at the intersection of Lower Landing Road and Almonesson Road in Gloucester Township, beginning Monday, Oct. 21.
The project will impact traffic at the intersection as well as along a stretch of Almonesson Road in the direction of Deptford.
“This is a fluid project with closures and lane shifts that will continue to be determined as the project progresses,” Shin Angulo said. “Motorists should attempt to plan around the area if possible while crews are at work. Crews will utilize lighted message boards to post up-to-the-minute information regarding the status of closures and detours.”
Beginning Monday, Oct. 21, through Thursday, Oct. 24, crews will utilize lane shifts to direct traffic through the intersection of Almonesson Road and Lower Landing Road. Crews will utilize alternating traffic patterns or a complete closure of Almonesson Road from Lower Landing Road to Hurffville Road depending on conditions at the site.
Crews will be active between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day.
This is part of a larger project that is expected to continue until approximately Friday, Nov. 8. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
