On Thursday, Oct. 24, David Steinberg – South Jersey poet, author and motivational speaker on the topic of peace – will address the audience gathered at Rowan College of South Jersey’s Gloucester campus on “My Enemy in the Mirror – Finding Peace in an Unpeaceful World.”
Steinberg is the founder of the Society for Poets of Southern New Jersey, and the first American writer and first Jewish poet to be published in Gaza. He has authored numerous books and received multiple awards for his writing. In 2018, he was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to challenge others to explore what they can do to bring about peace in their own heart, at home and within their communities. Steinberg travels to colleges, universities and libraries teaching how to address conflict and animosity by first looking within yourself.
Steinberg will present on Oct. 24 at 11:30 a.m. in the Business and Corporate Center on Rowan College of South Jersey’s Gloucester campus. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, or to register for the event, contact Erika Gardner at [email protected].
