Habitat for Humanity is now accepting applications for its new Neighborhood Revitalization Program!
What is Neighborhood Revitalization? Habitat for Humanity of Burlington County & Greater Trenton-Princeton’s Neighborhood Revitalization Program helps neighborhoods become stronger, more resilient, and more sustainable by partnering with low-to-moderate income homeowners to perform minor exterior improvements that preserve their home and make it safer and more accessible. Homeowners work with Habitat’s experienced staff and volunteers to revitalize the appearance of neighborhoods, strengthen personal connections within the community and keep homeowners in their homes.
Habitat focuses on minor exterior improvements to houses, including Minor carpentry repairs for porches, doors, floors and steps, exterior painting and power-washing, general cleaning and landscaping including cutting down brush and shrubbery, planting flowers and bushes, mowing lawns and trash removal.
Approved homeowners will be asked to pay a fee that is determined as a percentage of the total repair cost that is based on their percentage of area income. Active-duty military, veterans, reservists and their families are given the opportunity to participate in this program at no cost.
For questions on how to apply contact the organization at [email protected] or call at 856-319-5231. Participants can also attend an information session on Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Burlington County Library.
