BTPD reports five DWI arrests, 369 motor vehicle summonses in crackdown

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over 2019 was a statewide initiative over Labor Day weekend

The Burlington Township Police Department recently participated in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over 2019 statewide Labor Day Crackdown.

Between the dates of Aug. 16 and Sept. 2, officers conducted aggressive traffic enforcement and saturation patrols that resulted in five alcohol related DWI arrests,
10 criminal narcotics arrests, 13 warrant arrests and 369 total motor vehicle summonses.

Director Bruce Painter credits all the men and women of the Burlington Township Police Department for making this initiative so successful and for making Burlington Township a safe community. Whereas the operational period for this initiative has ended, the Burlington Township Police Department remains committed to improving the safety of our roadways by aggressively enforcing the state’s DWI laws.
