Multiple 9/11 Tributes within Gloucester Township Wednesday, Sept. 11

Both Timber Creek Regional High School and the Chews Landing Fire Department will be hosting events Wednesday morning

Gloucester Township is hosting a 9/11 Tribute Ceremony Wednesday, Sept. 11 in honor of those lost 18 years ago on Sept. 11, 2001 during the terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center.

This tribute will take place at Timber Creek Regional High School, located in the Sicklerville section of the township, in an outdoor ceremony from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Those attending the ceremony include Black Horse Pike Regional School District Superintendent Brian Repici, Timber Creek Principal Luis Amberths, Jr., Gloucester Township Mayor David Mayer and Police Chief Harry Earle, as well an assortment of students from the district.

Students from the district are invited to attend the ceremony or watch from their classrooms through the school television station. Choir students will perform during the tribute, along with other ceremonies taking place during the morning.

Also in Gloucester Township, the Chews Landing Fire Department is hosting a 9/11 Memorial Dedication Wednesday, Sept. 11 starting at 8:15 a.m. The fire department is located at 43 Somerdale Road in Chews Landing.
