- Patrols responded to a disabled motor vehicle that had broken down on Glassboro Road by Target. Units were able to get the vehicle off the road to a safe location.
- Officers assisted a motorist who had locked their keys in their vehicle while at their house.
- Officers conducted foot patrol at the Wenonah Farmers Market in the park.
- Patrols responded to two reports of theft of packages that had just been delivered to the front door area homes.
- Ptl. Oldrati arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant and turned the subject over to the county jail.
Aug. 2
- Officers responded to a neighbor complaint where a special needs neighbor walked into the caller’s house without permission.
- Officers responded to another neighbor complaint where one neighbor was sabotaging the caller’s garden.
- Ptl. Krieger arrested a subject on an active warrant. They posted partial bail and were released with a new court date.
- Patrols responded to a crash on Route 45 in the area of Dempsey’s Tire and Auto Center.
- Units responded to a harassment complaint in which a resident of the Villages of Berkley believes they are being harassed by the association.
- Patrols responded to an animal complaint in Wenonah in which an aggressive raccoon was reported by the old police station. Animal control responded to assist in its search.
- Patrols responded to a complaint of a house party with reported underage drinking.
Aug. 3
- Units responded to a found bicycle at the Wells Fargo Bank in Wenonah.
- Patrols took a theft complaint where jewelry was missing and it is believed the moving company may be responsible.
- Officers supervised community service workers who cleaned up litter along Main Street in the area of Lambs Road.
- Units responded to a homeowner who found a backpack and several personal items on his front lawn.
- Patrols took a fraud report where a cell phone account was opened in the victim’s name.
- Officers responded to a report of a family panhandling at the Chick-fil-a.
- Patrols took a harassment and stalking complaint in which the victim wished to apply for a restraining order, which was granted.
- Ptl Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for an outstanding warrant. They posted bail and were released.
- Units responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Boody Mill Road. Officers were able to locate the subjects and it was fireworks, not gunshots.
Aug. 4
- Patrols were dispatched for a homeowner who saw two males in a tree on his property who would not leave when asked to and just wanted to stay in the tree. Officers arrived and did not see anyone in a tree.
- Officers took a report for criminal mischief for graffiti that was located along a trail in Wenonah.
- Officers supervised community service workers that cleaned up litter along Breakneck Road.
- Officers took a report of employee theft from the Kohl’s store.
Aug. 5
- Sgt. Hayes and Herner arrested an intoxicated patron inside Carolina Blue that was refusing to leave the bar area.
- Officers took a report of construction equipment from a job site.
- Patrols took a report for a landlord and tenant issue where the tenant was refusing to leave.
- Ptl. Bair conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for an outstanding warrant.
- Ptl. Sheilds arrested a subject who was wanted for theft charges out of Wildwood City. The subject was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation and then transported to meet with the Wildwood Police.
- Officers assisted a motorist who had locked their keys in their vehicle while at the Route 45 Car Wash.
- Units responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 45 in front of Planet Fitness.
- Officers took a theft report for township-owned trash cans that were stolen from a house.
- Patrols responded to a dog fight in the Villages of Berkley in which one dog killed another. Animal control responded and took possession of the attacking dog.
- Ptl. Layton responded to a noise complaint at midnight and arrested two subjects for possession of drugs.
Aug. 6
- Patrols responded to a dispute at 3 a.m. in which one party wanted their uncle removed from the house.
- Units responded to a solicitation complaint for a subject selling meat from a vehicle.
- Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 45 in the area of Mt. Royal Road.
- Officers responded along with S.J. Gas and the fire department for a report of natural gas inside an apartment in the Pinebrook apartments.
- Ptl. Crispin cited a resident for discarding a cigarette onto the ground while he was there for a separate issue.
- Patrols responded to Target for a male who was in diabetic shock while attempting to park his car.
- Officers took a report for a teenager who kept charging items on her parents’ credit card without their knowledge.
Aug. 7
- Officers from the Port Authority arrested a subject who was wanted in our town for a shoplifting. He was turned over to our agency where he was processed and placed in the county jail.
- Units checked on a vehicle that was deep in the woods of Ceres Park. Officers advised the subject to move his vehicle to the parking lot area.
- Patrols responded to a person panhandling at the Chick-fil-a. He left prior to police arrival, however, we were able to locate him and warned him.
- Units responded to a crash on Glassboro Road in front of the Sony building. One vehicle needed to be towed from the scene.
- Units responded to a crash on Bridgeton Pike in front of Planet Fitness.
- Patrols responded to at least six calls for service because of thunderstorms that came through. Most of the calls were related to trees and wires down in the roadway.
- Units responded to a crash in the 600 Block of Main Street.
