The National Weather Service’s Mount Holly station confirmed a tornado touched down in Mullica Hill on Thursday night.

“Given video of a clear funnel with some small debris being lofted, a tornado touchdown has been confirmed in Mullica Hill, NJ this evening,” the station said on social media.

It is not clear where the tornado touched down.

After a brief storm passed through the area on June 13, tornado warnings were issued for much of Gloucester County.

A video posted on Facebook by user Lou DiBacco showed the tornado in reference forming behind his home. User Alecandra Ranra posted a video of the tornado blowing around various items in her backyard and destroying a portion of her deck.

Another video circulated on social media showing a possible tornado near Bankbridge Road near the Deptford Township – Borough of Wenonah line.

The weather service will be out in the area to determine the strength and path of the tornado, and to verify if the one spotted along Bankbridge Road touched down.
