The following is on file at boroughofpalmyra.com:
The Borough is implementing changes in office hours during the summer months that should prove beneficial to residents and perhaps to staff as well.
The new hours will begin June 21 and run through August 30. Essentially, Borough offices will open 30 minutes earlier each day but with staff leaving at 2 p.m. on Fridays, a traditionally slow afternoon during the summer. Current hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. so the new schedule results in the same number of office hours each week.
Effective June 21, summer office hours at Borough Hall are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.
The Borough’s Tax Office will continue to remain open until 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and the Tax Assessor’s hours will remain unchanged as well: 5 to 7 p.m. every Monday. No changes in hours for Public Works and Sewer Departments are anticipated.
