All firearms applications are now being processed electronically via an online application through the Firearms Application and Registration System (FARS). Firearms applications are being accepted through FARS by the New Jersey State Police and all Harrison Township residents must process their applications through the FARS link, which can be accessed by going to www.NJPortal.com/NJSP/FARS.
The following information will be necessary in order to complete and submit your firearms application though FARS:
The Harrison Township Police Department’s ORI number (NJ0080800), your full legal name, Social Security number, driver’s license number, State Bureau of Investigation number (if applicable) and a valid email address for yourself as the applicant and for your listed references who will receive notification via their valid email addresses as listed.
