In a letter to the community, the program extends their thanks.
Dear Moorestown Community,
On behalf of the Moorestown boys basketball program, we wanted to take this opportunity to extend our sincerest gratitude to the staff and students of the Moorestown Township Public Schools and the entire Moorestown community for all of your support during our historic 2018–2019 season. We especially appreciate everyone’s energy and excitement during our playoff journey. From our sold out home games during our run to the sectional championship, to the more than 2,000 fans that cheered us on as we won our first state championship in 60 years, our team was inspired by your passionate support. We would also like to thank the Moorestown Fire Department and their volunteers for welcoming us home from our state championship game, with a fire truck escort down a fan filled Main Street. Our program, and especially our senior athletes, will remember the support of this community for the rest of their lives. Our greatest hope is that our historical run will inspire all of our youngest fans to never give up on their dreams. Hopefully, one day they can wear a Moorestown basketball jersey and win a championship of their own.
Thank you again for a memorable season. Go Quakers!
