Cherry Hill East Robotics looking to establish partnership with district

The Cherry Hill East Robotics Club has had plenty of success in its 10 years of existence. As the club now heads into its second decade, it is looking to garner more support from school officials. Club advisor Joe Dilks, students and parents are advocating on behalf of the team to boost the club’s funding. They are also looking to make robotics a greater part of the school fabric at Cherry Hill East.

Cherry Hill first grader receives surprise visit at Black History Month contest reception

When Clara Barton Elementary School first grader Juliya Robertson went to the Cherry Hill Cherry Hill African American Civic Association’s Black History Month Essay, Poster and Video Contest reception on Wednesday night, she never expected to meet the person she did her poster on. But that’s exactly what happened as Joan Myers Brown, founder and executive artistic director of Philadelphia Dance Company, attended the reception to meet Juliya.

Cherry Hill West students find universal themes in “Chicago”

The Sun visited Cherry Hill High School West last Monday to check out rehearsals for the school’s upcoming spring musical, “Chicago.” The show, based on a 1926 play of the same name about criminals and crimes reported on by Maurine Dallas Watkins, opens at Cherry Hill West on March 22. Several members of the cast shared their thoughts on the upcoming production.

Cherry Hill resident unveils plans for new political horror comic

A Cherry Hill resident shared his thoughts on a comic that is scheduled for release in mid-July. Robert Wolinsky discussed his next comic, “SKOTUS: Serial Killer of the United States.” The comic is a story of the President of the United States who is a president by day and then a serial killer by night. Wolinsky is the writer of the comic.
