Jan. 23
· Officers assisted Woodbury Heights Police Department with a shoplifting at their Super Wawa.
· Units assisted a motorist who locked his keys in his vehicle at his residence.
· Officers responded to a neighbor complaint in which one neighbor could smell the marijuana smoke coming into his house from the neighbor.
· Officers escorted a subject to a house to return property.
· Ptl. Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for an outstanding warrant.
· Units responded to a crash on Center Street in the area of New Street in which one person was complaining of pain, but refused EMS.
· Units took a theft report from a motor vehicle.
· Units responded to a male that had passed at his residence during the day.
· Ptl. Mroz arrested a subject on a motor vehicle stop that was wanted by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department.
· Ptl. Mroz also arrested a subject on a separate motor vehicle stop for outstanding warrants from Woodbury City.
· Ptl. Hauss and Special Officer Amiss conducted a car stop and arrested two occupants as both had outstanding warrants for their arrest.
Jan. 24
· Ptl. Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested the driver for an outstanding warrant.
· Officers took a harassment report in which the victim was getting harassing emails from her husband.
· Units responded to a tree that had fallen on power lines on Pitman Road.
· Units responded to the Wawa on Route 45 for a subject that was causing a disturbance in the store by acting irrational and irate and was hugging and kissing the lottery machine.
· Units assisted West Deptford Police Department with a suspicious person that had left TD Bank and traveled towards Mantua.
· Units responded to a domestic dispute between a couple. The female was arrested for domestic assault and turned over to the county jail.
Jan. 25
· Officers responded to the Taco Bell for a report of a fight between four or five subjects. Half the subjects had left prior to our arrival.
· Units assisted the fire department for a reported dryer fire at a residence in Centre City.
· Patrols responded to a crash on Glassboro Road at Center Street.
· Patrols responded to a crash on Mantua Boulevard near Monmouth Avenue.
· Officers were asked to take a report for fraud because the caller received a call from a phone solicitor.
· Patrols responded to a crash on Glassboro Road near the Target store.
· Ptl Layton conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested two occupants for possession of drugs.
· Ptl. Oldrati conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested the subject for outstanding warrants.
Jan. 26
· Ptl Layton conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for a loaded hypodermic needle that had heroin in it.
· Ptl. Oldrati conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for an outstanding warrant.
· Officers assisted the state police with a crash on Route 55 that involved an overturned vehicle.
· Officers supervised community service workers while they cleaned up litter on Breakneck Road.
· Officers took a report for a stolen cell phone.
· Patrols responded to a minor crash in the area of the Wawa on Route 45.
· Patrols responded to a fight between two neighbors in which one neighbor punched another.
· Units responded to a report of criminal mischief in Wenonah in which a mirror on a vehicle was damaged and dogs were missing from the backyard.
· Officers responded to Carolina Blue for a vehicle that had been struck in the parking lot.
Jan. 27
· Ptl. Oldrati and Ptl. Layton responded to a subject that was attempting to enter a house through a sunroom at 6 a.m. Officers located the subject in the house and arrested him. The subject was intoxicated and believed he was at a friend’s house. He was also found to be in possession of drugs. He was arrested and charged.
· Units assisted a motorist at Carolina Blue that had locked their keys in their vehicle.
· Officers supervised community service workers that cleaned up litter on Main Street.
· Officers responded to an assault at the Evergreen Rest Home.
· Units responded to a child custody exchange in which the mother refused to pick up her children.
· Patrols responded to a crash on Barnsboro Road in the area of Jefferson Road in which one vehicle needed to be towed.
Jan. 28
· Ptl Mroz and his K-9 partner Zuke assisted Woodbury Heights Police Department with a search of a missing male with dementia.
· Patrols responded to a crash on Jackson Road in the area of State Road in which a vehicle struck a tree.
· Units impounded an abandoned vehicle from Mantua Boulevard that had been there for at least two weeks.
· Officers responded to a backyard fire in which the homeowner was burning items in the backyard. The investigation was turned over to the fire department that was on scene.
· Patrols responded to a crash in which a vehicle struck a deer on Breakneck Road.
Jan. 29
· Patrols responded to Newpoint Behavioral Health for a female that was out of control and throwing chairs around the room.
· Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Glassboro Road in the area of Center Street.
· Officers responded to a three-vehicle crash on Glassboro Road in the area of Tylers Mill Road in which one vehicle fled the scene and an occupant complained of minor pain.
· Officers took a report for burglary after the homeowner reported his nephew to have broken into their house. Officers located the subject, arrested him, and turned him over to the county jail.
· Units responded to a crash in which a vehicle struck a pole on Main Street and then fled from the scene.
· Patrols responded and cleared a large tree branch that was in the roadway on Route 45.
· Ptl. Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested two occupants for outstanding warrants. One was processed and released, the other was turned over to Glassboro Police Department.
