Donation will be accepted at all OceanFirst Bank branches located throughout central and southern New Jersey, including inĀ Marlton.
While members of the public give generously during the holiday season to those in need, the demands experienced by community food banks during the holidays often leads to severe food shortages throughout January and February.
In an effort to relieve these shortages, OceanFirst Bank has invited their employees, customers and neighbors to lend a helping hand by participating in the bankās annual community foodĀ drive.
The food drive continues through Feb. 6 and will benefit the Community Food Bank of NewĀ Jersey.
During this time, food donation bins will be available at all 60 OceanFirst Bank branches located throughout central and southern NewĀ Jersey.
This includes the bankās Marlton branch, located at 741 RouteĀ 73.
Although all food donations are appreciated, there is a great need for dietary staples and non-perishable items (nothing in glass), including:
- Peanut Butter,Ā jelly
- Canned tuna
- Canned beans
- Baby Formula
- Corned beef hash, beef stew,Ā spam
- Dry pasta, rice, instant potatoes, mac &Ā cheese
- Spaghetti Oās, ravioli, Beef-a-Roni
- Spaghetti sauce, any canned vegetable
- Applesauce, any cannedĀ fruit
- Canned or dryĀ soup
- Mayonnaise
- Cereal
- Shelf stableĀ milk
- Laundry detergent, soap, diapers, toilet paper, shampoo and other personal hygieneĀ products
The Community Food Bank of New Jersey collects food donations in order to warehouse and supply food and grocery products to New Jersey charities that carry on the work of feeding the less fortunate.
These charities include soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, food banks, after school programs and senior centers, amongĀ others.
