Palmyra Community Center seeking volunteers to help with cleanup

Jan. 21 is a national day of service, this is a great way to get involved in your community

Most people know Jan. 21 as Martin Luther King Day, when schools close in remembrance for a great figure in American history. This day is also observed as a national day of service, where people across the country come together to volunteer and do some good in their neighborhoods.

On Monday, Jan. 21, the Borough of Palmyra will be cleaning the community center at 30 W. Broad St. next to the municipal building. They are looking for volunteers to help with their efforts. This is a great opportunity to get involved and give back to your community.

There will be two time slots residents can join in from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 6:30 to 8 p.m. Lunch will be provided during the morning time slot.
