During the holiday season blood donations to The American Red Cross tend to fall off. Donating blood rarely makes it to the top of anyone’s to-do list around this busy time of year.
Despite this trend, it’s important to remember there are still people who rely on these donations year round. The Red Cross needs to collect around 700 units of blood every day. A trauma case, such as a car accident, can require as much as 100 units of blood alone.
Temple Sinai at 2101 New Albany Road in nearby Cinnaminson is hosting a blood drive Sunday, Jan. 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Fineblum Chapel. Don’t miss this chance to give when the need is so great.
