Mt. Laurel Fire Department reminds residents to have working smoke alarms in their home

The reminder comes after a fire in the Ramblewood Farms section of town on Dec. 11.

At 8:15 a.m. on the morning of Dec. 11, The Mt. Laurel Fire Department was dispatched to an active residential fire at a single family dwelling reported by a neighbor in the Ramblewood Farms section of Mt. Laurel.

Rapid response and arrival confirmed the report, while initial arriving companies went into service and brought the fire under control.

According to the MLFD, there were a few reported injuries due to the incident.

With this incident in mind, the Mt. Laurel Fire Department is reminding residents to once again ensure that they have working smoke alarms in their homes.

The MLFD offers thanks to Mt. Laurel EMS, The Mt. Laurel Township Police Department and mutual aid fire departments for their assistance.
